Messages Section

This is where you can message the mentors or mentees you've booked sessions with, or who have booked sessions with you.

Where to Find It

The Messages tab is located on the top navigation bar of your dashboard.

You can also jump straight into a specific chat by clicking the Message button next to the Video button in your Booked Sessions tab.

How It Works

  • You can only message someone once a session is booked, paid for, and confirmed.

  • For mentors, a chat will only appear once a mentee has sent the first message, this keeps your inbox clean and focused. Once you receive that message, you’ll be able to reply and send messages anytime.

  • Another way to check if you might have a message is through your booking confirmation email. If you get one, log in and check your Messages tab to see if your mentee has sent anything.

  • A red notification dot will appear on the Messages tab when there’s a new message.

  • New messages will be clearly marked as “New” in your inbox for easy tracking.

Pro Tips

  • Keep your communication professional and to the point.

  • Try to reply within 24 hours to maintain trust and momentum.

  • Use this space to reschedule, share notes, ask questions, or clarify anything about your session.

  • Sending messages outside of the Syncli platform may lead to penalties, as it can harm the trust and security of the platform. Always communicate through Syncli to maintain professionalism and accountability.

  • If you will be away for a holiday or any other reason, please communicate with your mentees in advance. Keeping your mentee informed helps maintain trust and ensures smooth scheduling.
