Who it's for
At Syncli, we believe that no teacher should have to walk their journey alone. Whether you’re an experienced educator eager to give back, or a new teacher searching for guidance, our mentorship platform connects you with the support you need. This space is designed to foster real conversations, practical advice, and lasting professional growth between mentors and mentees.
Mentors
Mentors are experienced educators who are ready to guide and support others in the teaching profession.
To qualify as a mentor on Syncli, you should:
- Hold the appropriate degree, certificate, or license according to your teaching path (e.g., BEd, PGCE, TEFL, etc.)
- Have at least 3 years of teaching experience in the area you’ll be mentoring in (e.g., Foundation Phase, ESL, Intermediate Phase, CAPS, Cambridge, etc.)
- Be passionate about sharing practical advice, answering real-world questions, and offering support based on your lived teaching experience
Mentees
Mentees are student teachers, new graduates, recently qualified educators, or even teachers transitioning between phases, grades, or curricula who are looking for support, advice, or just a listening ear.
Whether you're:
- Feeling unsure about how to navigate your role
- Needing help with lesson planning, interviews, or classroom challenges
- Looking to grow professionally
- Or simply wishing you had another teacher who understands — someone to chat with and get honest, helpful guidance from
Syncli is your safe space to connect, ask questions, and build confidence with the help of someone who's been there.
