Verification

The Verification section is one of the most important parts of your profile. It helps ensure that only trusted, qualified individuals are approved as mentors. Make sure you complete all steps carefully.

KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification​

This is required to confirm your identity and secure our platform for all users.

Steps to complete your KYC:

  1. Click the “Start Verification” button.

  2. A unique link will appear:

    • Use the copy icon to copy and paste the link into your browser manually.

    • Or click the direct link icon to open the verification site instantly.

  3. A new webpage will load with a QR code and simple instructions.

  4. Scan the QR code with your phone.

  5. Follow the steps on your phone:

    • Take a photo of your ID or driver’s license

    • Take a selfie to match your identity

  6. Once verified, you will be redirected to the Syncli homepage.

  7. Go back to the Verification section to check your status. It should now say “Approved.”

Note: Make sure your ID is valid and nearby before starting.

Identity Number​

Enter your national ID number or passport number for internal verification.

Reference First Name​

Provide the first name of a professional reference — ideally someone from your most recent job who can confirm your experience or teaching role.

Reference Phone Number​

Enter a contactable phone number for that reference.

Reference Email Address​

Provide a valid email address for your reference. We may reach out during the approval process.

Degree Upload​

Upload your degree or teaching qualification to confirm your educational background. Accepted formats: PDF, JPG, PNG

Supporting Documents​

Upload any additional qualifications or documents that support your application as a mentor.

This could include:

  • Postgraduate qualifications

  • Teaching license or SACE registration

  • TEFL/TESOL certificates

  • Specialized training certificates

  • Letters of recommendation

  • Workshop or short course certificates

Make sure your documents are clear, legible, and in an accepted format. Accepted formats: PDF, JPG, PNG

Note: You can only upload up to 3 documents, so please choose the most valuable and relevant ones to support your application.

Very Important: You will see a pending status in this section while we review your details. We will verify your information and ensure everything is accurate. Once verified, you will receive an email confirming your approval. If your application is not approved, you will also receive an email with the reason for denial.

After your approval, you can make your profile visible to mentees. Before clicking the "Make Profile Live" button, please be sure to click the "Preview" button to review your profile and ensure you’re satisfied with how it looks.
